Ellementa Seattle: Women’s Wellness & Cannabis Conversations
Wednesday, May 23, 2018
You deserve to feel centered, healthy and heard. Come share wisdom and experiences with other women and learn from trusted experts. We’ll explore why cannabis and CBD are so compatible with the human body and how cannabis has been used to enhance women’s health for centuries.
Female cannabis users often keep their usage private out of a fear of stigmatization, and nowhere is this more apparent than women who are also mothers. But as we continue to learn more about the health benefits of the marijuana plant, it becomes increasingly clear that it can help women who have given birth in myriad ways, from postpartum depression to anxiety to everyday aches and pains.
Join panelists and mothers Teigan Johanna Dentz and Kendra Sinclair to discuss everything from using CBD as a new mother to how to tell other parents about being a cannabis user.
Come away from this event inspired and ready to transform your life. This month, we’ll talk about all of this plus cannabis and women’s emotional health. We look forward to seeing you.
We’re offering a Special for May: Take a Mom to Ellementa Month! Purchase one ticket and get a mom you know in at no extra charge. It’s a Two for One. If you know a mom who could benefit from better information about cannabis for health and wellness, this is the month to bring her!
Ellementa meets monthly to bring women together to learn about cannabis for health, wellness, self-care and caregiving. This is a non-consumption, educational event for women/female-identified only. We create welcoming spaces where women can come together to speak openly about cannabis wellness.

Cannabis combined with other holistic practices assisted greatly in the conception and birth of her son. Empowered by the impact on her own life, she has been guided to share her love of cannabis and micro-dosing with other women.
The evening’s discussion will be led by, Ellementa Organizer Kait Heacock.

She is a book publicist for independent feminist publishing house Dottir Press, the Seattle event organizer for the cannabis wellness organization Ellementa, and the Pacific Northwest editor for Joyland Magazine.
